It is likely that many areas of Britain will see much less snow in the future. Scotland and the highest mountains will continue to see some snow for the foreseeable time.

It’s hard to say. Some models look like Britain might get a LOT colder sometime in the future, because we won’t get warming from the gulf stream current in the Atlantic. In this case Britain might be as snowy as other European countries that are as far north as we are… places like Norway, Finland and Russia!
The truth is the climate will become MUCH less stable and it’s very hard to predict exactly what will happen in the future

I wish I could answer that simply – we have no idea and we are still learning and trying to understand how the earths weather systems will respond to the changes in temperature

As the other scientists have said- we don’t really know! That’s why all our research into climate change is important so we can try to predict better how our planet will react to the changes in temperature.

I think climate change will likely affect weather permanently in ways that are hard to predict. Because it is unpredictable this is likely to be a very frightening experience for people.
