Question: why is there more than 1 contry in the world

There are lots of countries because humans had different beliefs and ideas about how they wanted the world to be. This meant dividing up bits of the world we live in into countries. If you’re really interested in this you should ask a historian rather than a scientist!

If you mean that continents, to start off with, all of the land in the world was in one big piece, but due to the movement of the Earths crust underneath the surface, the big piece has cracked and moved into several pieces.
