Yass! I’m glad it sounds cool to you too, because I think its awesome. My undergraduate degree at university was a special kind of combined undergraduate and masters degree called an MSci, which i did in Human Biology, but with a focus on microbiology (the study of micro-organisms or tiny living things!). I’m now studying for another higher level of degree called a PhD, which means I do a 3-4 year huge research project which I get paid to do- its kind of a cross between a university course and a job.
There are PhDs in any topic you can think of- the idea is to do a big project on something interesting to you, and that nobody has ever done before. If you’re interested in working in environmental science like me, I would suggest doing GCSE’s and A levels in science, maths and geography subjects- this would then lead on nicely to an undergraduate degree in biology, environmental science or geography depending on what is most interesting to you!
