I would rate my job as 9/10, the things that are stopping it being 10/10 are that my office is in Glasgow which is a bit cold and wet, and I would like to do a little bit more maths in my job every day

As my career is my own design, as I started up a business, I would say at the moment about 7 / 10. The only bad thing is that I currently don’t have a large team of workers, so it gets a bit lonely at times.

On a good day 10/10 but on a bad day 6/10. Probably not below a 6, which I think is good enough. If every day was brilliant it would be boring. You need to dull days to make the brilliant days stand out

      I reckon a 8-9/10 on average.
Science can be really interesting and fun. You get to do cool experiments, find out new things nobody has ever done before, and work with lots of interesting people.
But, science and research can also be really tricky! Experiments often don’t work, you might not get the results you were expecting, sometimes you’re working on a field site and it rains all day, and it can be stressful!
There are positives and negatives to all jobs so its important to find out whats the right balance for you as a person! For me at the moment, I do have rubbish days, but there are way more good than bad ones, so its a great job for me at the moment! 🙂
