So my job isn’t a normal lab based science job like you would think scientists do, so I haven’t done any experiments like that. What I have done is make programmes on computers that allow people to test their new inventions hundreds or thousands of times without breaking their invention! The company I work for then allows inventors to bring in models of their new technology and test it in real life conditions!

In terms of individual experiments on individual days I have probably done hundreds of experiments! But a lot of these experiments are “repeats” of the same experiment- this makes sure that I haven’t made a mistake when I did the experiment the first time.

I run a lot of experiments using weather and climate data, to predict the weather further ahead than before possible. Experiments are what improves my understanding of the world, as I can compare my results to the weather observations to see how good my predictions are.
