      Hi! I have helped with models to look at flying wind turbines. This might be a new way of harnessing wind energy using tethered kites. As the kites get pulled around they pull out a tether round a big drum that generates electricity. This could be a big advantage over wind turbines because they are much lighter and cheaper, and the winds are faster and more stable high up!
      There are always changes and new ways to make renewable energy, but most of these are building on technology we already have… like offshore wind is a way of building wind turbines offshore, which is a new way of using known technology
